Association Française pour le Droit de la Construction et de l'Immobilier (AFDCI)
 

Established in 1982, the AFDCI is a Society for all those who are associated with French and International Construction Law. 

 

This includes Academics, Solicitors, Barristers, In-house Counsel, Construction Contractors, Developers, Architects, Engineers, Estate Agents, Urban Planners, Environmentalists, Quantity Surveyors, Consultants, Expert Witnesses, Arbitrators, Mediators and Project Managers.

We are a not for profit organisation and our key objective is to promote the education, study and research in the field of construction law and related subjects both in France and internationally.

​

The AFDCI also seeks to promote its members by providing networking opportunities, encourage professional development, provide opportunities to participate and contribute in Events, Conferences, Communication, Publications and Thought Leadership.

​

The AFDCI 's board focuses on the historic work of the AFDCI, with a focus on French construction and property law, and contribute in the development of neighbouring bodies of law, in particular urban planning law and environmental law.​​​

 

The AFDCI French International chapter focuses on French construction law and its interaction with other international organisations and especially on international construction contracts and dispute resolution forums.

What does AFDCI do?

Promote and represent the French Construction Law sector and our members.

 

Encourage diversity and represent all those in Construction Law in France.

Provide a forum for industry participants and thought leaders to connect and together initiate positive change in the construction industry for the benefit of the construction industry by influencing changes to legislation, policy and practice.

​

Provide a platform for our members to network,  participate, collaborate and connect with other construction law professionals both within France and abroad.

​

Provide a platform to promote education, research and publications in the field of construction law and related topics.​
